Mr. Nguyen
Welcome to our class! I am excited to have the opportunity to guide your child through an engaging and enriching learning experience this year. In this class, students will explore the world of business through hands-on projects, creative problem-solving, and real-world applications. They’ll dive into topics like:
- Financial Literacy: Understanding money, budgeting, saving, and investing. Students will learn practical skills they can use both now and in the future.
- Entrepreneurship: Exploring what it takes to start a business, from brainstorming ideas to marketing and selling products. Students will have the chance to create their own business plans.
- Technology & Coding: Students will get an introduction to technology and coding, learning the basics of how to create websites, apps, and simple programs. They’ll discover how technology plays a key role in the modern business world.
- Workplace Skills: Building key skills for success, such as teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. They’ll also practice how to use business technology like spreadsheets, presentations, and productivity tools.
- Capstone Projects: Every student will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity and learning through a Capstone project, where they will apply their knowledge in a hands-on way.
Beyond business concepts, this course is designed to help students develop critical thinking, collaboration, and leadership skills—skills that will serve them in any career path they choose. We will also engage in fun, interactive activities like creating products for school events (including our Day of the Dead celebration) and learning how to manage a classroom store.
As we move through the year, students will gain confidence in their ability to think like entrepreneurs, use technology creatively, and take on challenges with a growth mindset. I’m looking forward to a fun and productive year ahead!
